TEAM Jose R. Hechavarria – Vice President of Manufacturing Mr. Hechavarria brings over 30 years of parenteral pharmaceutical industry experience to ADVENTRX. Prior to joining ADVENTRX, Mr. Hechavarria served as Director of Technical Support & Development for Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging (now Lantheus Medical Imaging), a company specializing in in vivo diagnostic imaging agents, where he oversaw contract manufacturing and supply chain logistics. Mr. Hechavarria began his career at New England Nuclear Corporation where he was responsible for Quality Assurance for the radiopharmaceutical business and, later, manufacturing following a succession of acquisitions by E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co., DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Mr. Hechavarria's product experience includes involvement in successful international product launches, including Cardiolite®, a leading cardiac perfusion imaging agent, and Perflutren Lipid Microsphere Injectable Suspension, a leading cardiac ultrasound contrast agent in the U.S. Mr. Hechavarria holds a B.S. in chemical technology from the University of Lowell, an A.S. in Nuclear Engineering Technology from the Wentworth Institute, and has completed post graduate training in parenteral therapeutics agents at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy.
